Meet the Penson's

The Penson's
Established December 13, 1997

Landon, Kellie, Chad, and Peyton Penson, November 2012
I met Chad at the age of 15 at Antioch Baptist Church.  He can still, to this day tell you what I had on the first time he ever saw me...Which I think is extremely romantic. He was my best friend for a while then we decided we would date. Chad has a dry, very funny sense of humor and he made me laugh. Ladies, that is important. He was super cute with that blonde hair and big blue eyes. He was also taller than me which was a plus considering that finding a boy at that age taller than me was a task! I tell him all the time that is the only reason I married him. Most of our dates consisted of me watching him play baseball. He did manage to sweet talk his mom and sister into cooking me dinner for valentines day one year. I married my high school sweet heart in December 1997, at Antioch Baptist Church. We were the first ones to get married in the newly remodeled sanctuary. It was Christmas time so we used greenery with dark red and white roses and a touch of gold shimmer. Because we were so young very few people thought we would make it, so much so that they told us that. We were blessed by the support and love of both of our parents, grandparents, and some very dear friends. We will celebrate our 16th Anniversary in a few months. I guess we've made it so far huh? I love him more now than I ever have. He is still my best friend, our provider, shoulder, and rock.

Chad is the Technology Director for Philadelphia Public Schools. He started as a teenager and worked his way up. He is a Deacon in our church and helps with sound and multi-media. He is an amazing daddy. I am so blessed to be married to a man that puts God first, his family second. A man that makes church a priority for his family.

Thomas Peyton Penson was born January, 1998. He weighed 6 lbs 2 oz. He was born in three hours, during a shift change. Yeah that was fun. He was ready to make his entrance into our lives. My life was forever changed by the moment they handed him to me. I didn't know if he was a boy or girl until that moment. He was a precious child. Quiet and calm. We could go to church, out to eat, to the movies, wherever and he never made a peep. He has been reading out of his bible since he was little bitty. Adults would have entire conversations with him and were amazed by the little old soul in that tiny body. He is still very laid back. He loves to fish, hunt, drive his truck, and fish some more. He is actively involved in the youth at church. He plays varsity soccer, runs track, is on the archery team, he is an honor roll student and in the BETA club. I am most proud of him for surrendering to the ministry of missions. I have no doubt that he will do great things to serve our God in the future.

Landon Taylor Penson was born April, 2003. He weighed 6 lbs. 12 oz. He was born after Dr. Purvis decided to finally get back from playing basketball with his buddies. It worked out well though, I had to finish watching an episode of survivor anyway. Landon was a little ball of fire from the get go. He was a very happy baby. The second he could he started getting into everything! He is my little live wire. Principals and teachers will call him to the office just for comedic relief at times. He is genuine and tenderhearted. He loves to please. He is in enrichment (tag as we called it) for intellectually gifted students, and an honor roll student. I am so proud of the handsome, funny, smart boy he has become.

I am so blessed to be their mom.
